Castle Builder Design — Case Study
The Challenge
Many Castle Builder clients came in with outdated, hard-to-navigate sites that had grown cluttered, making it difficult for visitors to find key information or complete tasks like registering, donating, or buying. With no in-house design support, they needed an upgrade that felt modern but stayed simple to manage day to day.
The Solution
As UI/UX designer, I audited existing sites, mapped core user journeys, and restructured navigation and page layouts around those flows. I then designed flexible, component-based templates in Figma that support membership systems, online stores, forms, and event calendars, optimized for WordPress and Drupal builds. Throughout, I worked closely with the founder and developers to keep the experience fast, accessible, and easy for small teams to update.
Impact & Results
The redesigned sites made it much easier for users to discover content, sign up, and engage with each organization's work, while giving clients a clearer, more professional online presence. Clients reported fewer "where do I find..." questions and more confidence using their websites as a central hub, while I gained a repeatable system for shipping consistent, scalable UI across very different brands.
